Comprehensive Emergency Animal Hospital in Commerce

Have you ever wondered what you’d do if your pet was sick or in an accident and your local vet was unavailable? Healthcare emergencies are completely unplanned. They unfortunately don’t happen only during regular business hours. If your pet has an urgent medical issue, you can bring him to our emergency animal hospital in Commerce 24/7 for high-quality care.

About Our Emergency Animal Hospital in Commerce

Our center, located on Welch Road in Commerce, is actually three facilities in one. Our practice was founded by Dr. Michael Wolf in 1994. At first, we offered neurology and MRI services only. In time we began to realize that there was a need for more comprehensive facilities in the area. We recognized that local pets needed access to a rehabilitation facility and an emergency animal hospital in Commerce. We’re now able to offer our patients the all-inclusive expert care they require.

Meet Our Emergency Animal Hospital Vets in Commerce

The veterinarians at all three of our centers are experienced board-certified specialists.  The emergency veterinary team members who are ready to care for your pet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week are:

  • Wesley Schoonover: Wesley has been on staff at our emergency animal hospital in Commerce since May of 2014. Originally from West Virginia, he loves emergency medicine because he can help people and pets when they need it the most. When he’s not working, you can often find him rooting on his favorite team, the West Virginia Mountaineers.
  • Krista Stone: Krista is a Michigan native. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and her DVM degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She chose to study veterinary medicine because she loves both science and animals.
  • Bridget Donovan: Bridget has been on staff as an emergency veterinarian since July of 2014. She’s originally from Canada, but has been enjoying getting to know her new home in Michigan. She and her husband are the proud parents of two cats and one greyhound.
